WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD Live Premieres at Hollywood Fringe

Loose Change, the immersive subsidiary of 2Cents Theater, has announced the world premiere of its new show, Welcome to the Neighborhood, written by Scott Golden and directed by Kristen Boulé. The show will feature seventeen performances during the 2021 Hollywood Fringe Festival which runs August 14 through August 28, 2021 at the Anthony Mendl studio located at 905 Cole Ave in Los Angeles.

In the spring of 1953, after a nuclear missile test wandering off the coast of California, the people of Los Angeles were given a choice: either evacuate Southern California for the foreseeable future or retreat to their own personal underground bunkers until what the worst fallout calms down. More than fifteen months later, the government gave the “green light” and people began to come out of their protective underground shelters to resume their lives. Summer has arrived, the birds are finally resuming their migratory habits and Bob and Cindy Nelson want to invite you to their 7th (technically 8th) July 4th Celebration BBQ! Come meet your new neighbors, bring your appetite and enjoy the freedom that life on the surface brings!

Welcome to the Neighborhood is an immersive outdoor experience. All shows will be live in person, not streaming. For all in-person performances at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, customers will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (within 72 hours) along with photo identification. Food and drinks will be offered free with each ticket.
